Can we trust Barack Hussein Obama ?.....

Since the founding of the United States of America 233 years ago, some mainstream historians and pundits in Western Academia and media, Applaud the election of President Obama as vindication of the USA's founding fathers and sweeps away the bloodshed and cultural and institutional racism that has been the staple of US history before and during and after it's creation. examples like the Massacare of Wounded Knee, the applying of the legislation of Jim Crow laws. There are other examples which I will bring up later, not in order to disparage or hurt the American people, but to give them a platform to try to build an understanding of what is going on, because as we all know this has never happened before.
This has certainly surprised a lot of people, albeit a pleasant surprise, around the world. but I have a feeling that once the taste of sugar is gone, the taste of burning bitterness will be left. I don't say this out of cynicism, as in all turning points in history, difficult periods like now happen when people least expect it.
The question I'm trying to ask is, in electing Mr Obama, will this raise the political conciousness of African Americans and the rest of the African diaspora to levels seen in the 50's, 60's and 70's ? or will we see a great betrayal of not just millions of black people around the world, but of all the expectations of working class people in the USA and round the World too ?
